Small components regularly require shielding and HONGER manufactures a wide range of Mumetal shielding cases for protecting small devices from magnetic interference, such as current transformers, specialist transformers and other discrete components. This type of shield has many uses but is typically used in the automotive, audio and power generation sectors.
With our fully integrated manufacturing, tooling and hydrogen heat treatment facilities we are able to supply a vast range of shielding cases, in both round and rectangular shapes. These shields can be adjusted for varying height requirements and all can be supplied with either inside or outside fitting lids. All of these lids and cases could be adapted to suit individual hole configurations for wiring requirements.
We can also manufacture tooling to produce custom-made components, and do so for many of our clients. Typically for a new tooling there is a lead time of approximately 6-8weeks before supply of the first proto-types for approval but normally we can produce hand-made prototypes of a new design in 2-3 weeks to verify the product prior to any tool cost being incurred.
Mu Metal shielding cases may be manufactured in a variety of thicknesses (from 0.2mm to 2.0mm) depending on your exact shielding requirements. Smaller quantities of cases, or cases that may be of larger size, or of a thicker material can be fabricated using traditional methods.
