Nickel Based Mu Metal Shielding Case

Small components regularly require shielding and HONGER manufactures a wide range of Mumetal shielding cases for protecting small devices from magnetic interference, such as current transformers, specialist transformers and other discrete components. This type of shield has many uses but is typically used in the automotive, audio and power generation sectors. With our fully integrated manufacturing, tooling and hydrogen heat treatment facilities we are able to supply a vast range of shielding cases, in both round and rectangular shapes. These shields can be adjusted for varying height requirements and all can be supplied with either inside or outside fitting lids. All of these lids and cases could be adapted to suit individual hole configurations for wiring requirements. We can also manufacture tooling to produce custom-made components, and do so for many of our clients. Typically for a new tooling there is a lead time of approximately 6-8weeks before supply of the first proto-type...

1J85 Mu Metal Strip with High Permeability

Mu Metal ,a Nickel-Iron-Molybdenum alloy, provides high initial and maximum permeabilities with low coercive force, low hysteresis loss, low eddy-current losses, and low magnetostriction at low field strengths. This vacuum-melted product also offers the advantages of small size and weight in magnetic core and shielding materials for the applications shown below. • Transformer laminations • Relays • Recording Heads • Deflection and Focusing Yokes • Amplifiers • Loudspeakers • Shielding Typical D.C. Magnetic Properties: Saturation Flux Density: 7,500 gausses Coercive Force from H = 1 oersted: 0.015 oersted Residual Induction: 3,700 gausses Hysteresis Loss from Saturation: 9 ergs/cm3/cycle Permeability @ B = 100: 75,000 Maximum Permeability: 300,000 (After appropriate anneal)

Mu Metal Cut Core for Current Transformer

These Mu Metal cut cores are widely used for highly accurate power measurement in power distribution systems, railway networks and large pieces of energy consuming industrial equipment. Typical Applications: • Ultra-sensitive transformers (especially pulse transformers) • Ultra-sensitive magnetic amplifiers where low loss is mandatory • Power Supplies • Radar Installations • Current Transformers • Jet Engine Controls • Motor Control • Power supply sensing • Position sensing • Energy meters
