Nylon and Polyester Difference

Nylon and polyester fabric are both lightweight and durable synthetic fabrics. They have many of the same characteristics, such as ease of care, wrinkle resistance, stretch resistance and shrinkage resistance. Nylon is softer but stronger than polyester, while polyester dries faster, is easier to dye and wears. Neither is a better fabric, although each fabric has unique superior properties and can be used for certain purposes.Nylon was created as a substitute for silk, which explains its soft and silky feel. It is also brighter and more elastic than polyester. Polyester is usually a coarser, darker fabric. However, modern manufacturing practices have improved the feel of polyester. You can now find polyester that mimics the softness of cotton and doesn't feel close to nylon.
